amaryllis

My potted amaryllis which just bloomed again last March after a several
year hiatus is sitting there while I wait for the leaves to die so I can
put it into a darkish spot as I've done every year.Some of the leaves have
died but I just noticed a new leaf starting! What do I do? Let it grow or
hide it away to stop it?
