Nan,

I must say that I am very lost without the Arboretum library to back me up. However, a white jacaranda is listed in the Sunset Western Garden Book as 'Alba' under Jacaranda mimosifolia. Perhaps somebody can take it from there.

I'm trying to think of where I've seen white jacaranda...  I wonder whether it was white Robinia - it looks something like a white jacaranda ....
