Dear John et al,
Euc.pauciflora we call locally weeping gum or cabbage gum.
It is typically found in grassy woodland and forest on the more fertile
soils found in Tassie. But in the far northeast of the island it does
grow in sandy soil. It may hybradize with E.amygdalina which:
Commonly called black peppermint and is very common in Tasmania. Grows
as a tree in dry sclerophyll forest, grassy forest and as a shrub in
open scrub and heath. It intergrades with many sp. including pauciflora
