Hi Matt,
Germination of Alpine Snow Gum (Eucalyptus pauciflora ssp niphophila,
probably the hardiest Eucalyptus) should be fairly easy, I just chuck them
in a pot of seed compost and leave them to it.
Eucalyptus seeds have pretty long viability - to improve the germination
rate of Alpine Snow Gum keep the seeds in a cool part of your fridge (not
the freezer - about 35° F, in the mountains there is good insulation from
the snow which prevents the soil freezing) for 6 to 8 weeks and then sow in
a deep pot at temperatures between 55° - 60° F, germination should be
within about 20 days.
Good luck !
Matt Sleigh
