Re: Hymenolepis (Athanasia) parviflora
Dear Sean,
Hymenolepis: A small and well marked member of the polypodiaceous family
of ferns. The fonds are simple opaque and linear lancelote or lorate,
with the apex very much contracted.
The species are found in India, Pacific and Indian Oceans. At the
moment, that is all I can tell you but shall see if I can chase up more
knowledge when I have a moment.
We are having a heat wave in Tassie - temps up in F80's, very early for
Tassie. Now we start worrying about lack of rain and bushfires, which
we can usually leave until end of Jan or Feb. Bush fires already
started. Blame the El Nino? Greenhouse effect?
I am becoming a more suitable member of the MEDIT garden group every
day!
Cheers,
