Figs are beautiful, wonderful trees, but only in the right place. Anyone
who plants one next to a sidewalk is asking for a nightmare. If you let
them spread out over a place where droppings don't matter, you will end up
with a gnarly, picturesque landscape center. They are great to eat too (we
food process them and freeze them for baked goods through-out the year).
Figs can be invasive in certain areas and affect ecosystems so do be
careful there.
