True, figs do well where they wont cause trouble....perhaps away from
the house in the back corner of a backyard (like in mine, where we have
a percolation lot behind the fence, and lots of room). Although im
thinking of buying a fig sometime (ive seen certain kinds that looked
only about 3 years old and had ten to 15 figs on them!)
My neighbors have this really pathetic looking fig sapling. Actually i
think it may have been older than that, and the neighbors grandkids got
to it with an ax. In any event it seems to be showing signs of revival.
Hopefully one day it's branches will overhang my yard, and i can
possibly gather any figs that fall into my yard :).
