In monterey, one house thats worth visiting for its historic garden is
the Stevenson House on Houston avenue. For those that dont know, that
is the building that Robert Louis Stevenson lived in while he was
living in Monterey. It has a nice garden behind the building, as well
as a decent one out front. They give tours, and they have paintings
illustrating some of his stories. The rooms are also furnished And
decorated like it was in the 1800's. MAny of the old Adobes in Monterey
have nice gardens that are worth checking out.
