Also known as Confederate Rose and Cotton Rose, H. mutabilis is thought 
to have originated in southern China, Taiwan and Japan. It comes as both 
a single and a double. It likes sun, well drained oil and should be 
severely (1/2) in the winter. ... from The Hibiscus Handbook
