Re: Planting something more appropriate


Up at a local school there was a fairly old (dont know how long they
live but it was about 30 feet high) Acacia melanoxylon. Over the years
the branches kept breaking off and the tree looked horrible. Eventually
after quite a few high winds, most of the main branches had fallen off.
I even saw a few that were growing alongside a road fallen after high
winds. All the trees were large and seemed to break easily. (theres
also the classic fern leaved types......has a bluish grey leaf color
(im not sure the name of it), but its a veritable woodland.
