Anopterus glandulosus

Does anybody on the list grow this Tasmannian evergreen with beautiful
lily-of-the-valley-like racemes of flowers in the spring (sometimes
pink outside, white inside; sometimes all pink; sometimes all white;
maybe other combinations I don't know of)? If so, any notions of its
optimum conditions and likely cold tolerance, outside its native
habitat? It's been recommended for most of this century by lots of
famous gardeners for mild gardens in the UK but hardly anybody
actually seems to grow it. Do those who don't know something I don't
or are they just lacking in judgement and/or a spirit of adventure?

Oh, and does anyone know of a source of seed for it? And have any
information about its ease or otherwise of germination?

TIA
