Re: autumn joy


Thanks for your note, Janet.  Your view sounds lovely indeed.  I will have
my first crop of Meyer lemons this year and would love to have your lemon
curd recipe.
Enjoying the pleasures of whatever climate one happens to be in reminds me
of a quote I saw yesterday--'Success is getting what you want; happiness is
wanting what you get'.  There is so much to enjoy this time of year.
This morning looking out the bedroom window I was struck with delight at the
winter birds on the feeders and the deck--a rufous-sided towhee (so
elegant), a titmouse, finches, a nuthatch, juncos, and white-crowned
sparrows.
