Re: laburnum
The same has happened in the central Vancouver Island area,
especially in public areas, due to the fear of children
being poisoned. One was removed from the Community Park a
few years ago. One of the oldest Inns here removed the
laburnum by the gate (almost as much of a landmark as the
Inn) - but not before I rescued a seedling. It is only
about 3 feet high now and regularly pruned by the deer.
