Nan, it just shows what a very small world it really is and that we have more in common than we know...

With reference to the value of compost - Sally Razlou gardens the Mediterranean Garden Society Garden near Athens, on one of the most uninviting sites, but nevetheless takes passionately good care of an inspirational garden with almost no water.  I've visited but can't remember her policy on compost & mulch... How about you, Lorrainne?  You must be composting where you are so what do your neighbours say about it!
