Re: Cycad references?

Nan,

I haven't noticed any replies to your cycad query, so I thought I'd put in
my 2 cents worth. If you did a Google search, you know that that Virtual
Cycad Encyclopedia contains everything you ever wanted to know about cycads
but were afraid to ask--and then some. But perhaps you want something a
little less academic.

If you weren't so lazy, you would find a good general introduction to cycads
and their culture in William Hertrich's book Palms and Cycads, published by
the Huntington Library in 1951. This is an old book, but it was reprinted
in the 1980s. I think it may still be available. If not, your local library
system could probably locate a copy for you.
