steve
a very good point you have raised.
I was a plant collector once. not any more.
I strive for simplicity and for creating an environment in
harmony with the spirit of the place.
trying to integrate my needs, my friends needs and the needs
of the local fauna.
look for arrangements that are largely self sustaining and
evocative of my place´s climate, flora, fauna and history.
however I do enjoy the discussions on particular plants I have
no intention of growing.
would love more discussion on design for mediterranean
gardens, but , perhaps, it is up to me to initiate it.
the alhambra gardens are a place of great beauty and elegant
simplicity, all made with very few species.
