Lagerstroemia in So California

Interesting that this thread came up when I was just wondering whether that lagerstroemia I planted a few years ago would ever bloom. I unfortunately forgot the variety (and neglected to label it) but I recall buying it because it was supposed to be resistant to mildew here near the coast.

I went outside and there are a few very anemic whitish blooms on the tips of the now 12 or 15 ft tall plant but not an impressive show, for sure. If it doesn't improve, it will go to the compost heap.

Now, anyone know whether buddleya lindleyana will bloom in part shade?
