Hello fellow Medit gardeners!
I would love some assistance with either a photo or an accurate description of Origanum sipyleum. I have several oreganoes and marjorams at the UCBG here that have crossed with each other. I am trying to "root out" the hybrids and keep the original species in the bed (which is difficult since they are so beautiful!). I looked in Flora Europea and Mediterranean Wildflowers, and I came up with nothing. I have tried the web, and haven't seen anything that is a reliable description. If you have a pure form of this plant, please email me a photo or refer me to a reliable source.
Thank you for your help!
Bridget
ps: we have some really interesting variations of hybrids that will be propagated for sale!
