Re: Medit Symposium thoughts

I second Ernie's thoughts on using garden tours to showcase specific plants.
There was so little time to get out into the gardens at this symposium. A top
10-50 list with a guide to point them out to attendees would be wonderful,
especially if that guide knew something about the plant beyond their location in
the garden.

My restless husband (and I) would have appreciated somewhat shorter slide shows
too. He brought a cushion and needed it. Wish I had.

The previous medit seminar (II) at Strybing had both wine and olive oil
information/talks. On our way home from this year's AGM, we specifically
stopped at Stanford Winery as a result of the last seminar to see the newish
buildings and gardens. They are wonderful, small and colorful. If you are
interested I can send a couple of jpg files privately.

Climate/food correlations and aroma/scent gardens are great ideas. Perhaps
people from each of the medit climate areas/countries might be enlisted to
provide a room of photos, plants, smells, and tastes to cover the senses.
Intriguing idea. I have no concept at all what South Africa or Chile native
gardens might smell like.

Cheers,
Bracey
