Also, you can have chives(garlic and regular) and parsley if you get the plants well started before the shorter days and colder nights. As fall sets in, I like to pull up a couple of tomato plants with lots of green tomatoes and hang them upside down in my unheated laundry room. The tomatoes ripen one by one and sometimes we can have our own cherry tomatoes in our Christmas salad.
