I have a few plants of L. laxiflora 'Angustifolia', one of which
flowered poorly whilst the other is still a mass of flower and
promises to carry on for a good while yet. The non-flowering plant (a
division of its neighbour) is in richer soil and due to its proximity
to a 3 metre wide Diascia patens which is very 'hungry' and moisture
loving, received extra water and liquid food throughout the summer.
Growth has been lax and non-productive. The other plant is growing in
poor, gravelly soil and has not received a drop of extra water this
summer. Flowering commenced in late May and has been continuous ever
since.
