Tansy was used a lot in medieval cooking. I can't imagine cooking
with it myself
I have never seen mention of any contact dermatists etc. People here often
rub it on their bodies to repell flies. Are you sure you are not mixing it
up with rue? or You may have a personal allergy to it?
Woodruff unfortunatly does not grow well for me. I have fond memories of it
surroundingthe drip line of a huge oak tree oak tree in pensilvania USA.(
in flower!!) Sigh. (A beautifula garden belonging to the then president of
US herb soc). I love the fragrance and struggle to grow one woodruff in a
pot. Perhaps you could give me some growing tips? Does it naturalilise for
you in Florida? I will cetainly add it to the list thankyou.
