What is Agastache and how do I get one?
A foeniculum with blue-purple flowers is the Anise Hyssop, which is
freely available in NZ. I got my first plant from a nursery and it has
seeded happily around the garden ever since. As a perennial it seems
short-lived, but is very free with its offspring.
I have got a packet of seed which I bought a couple of years ago, but
never got round to planting. It should still be alright as it is
foil-sealed and has been kept in a closed tin in the fridge. It is
supposed to be an "improved" form called Heather Queen (possibly more
pinkish than the species).
If you would like some of this seed, I will be happy to share this with
you. I could also send you the ordinary colour towards th end of summer,
when my plnts will be seeding.
Let me know if you are interested
