Re: synthetic pyrethroids
Wait a minute folks, we are not talking about SPRAYING or broadcasting
these materials, the way this stuff is applied is to draw a very short line
of chalk on concrete near a doorjam, or on the wall of the house or along
the edge of a window. The line is only about a half inch long and since it
is chalk, it is not liquid. Bees, birds, etc. do not come into contact
with it. The only critters that might encounter the chalk are earwigs,
silverfish and the occasional sow bug. Even when it is applied around the
trunk of a tree, it is highly unlikely that a bee or bird or any beneficial
will come in contact with it.
I fear that this discussion has gotten way out of proportion. Let's let it
go and if anyone wants to continue the discussion, please e-mail me
privately.
