Frangipani (plumeria) is not at all a fussy plant respecting soil. I have 
large trees growing in the ground in heavy clay and doing just as well as 
smaller ones in pots of sandy loam. More important, I should think, would 
be to keep the plant fairly dry while overwintering in cooler climes.
