Bending rebar

Anyone got any experience/tips/suggestions for bending rebar.  I've 
seen many rebar arches recently, covered with vines.  Once you get 
them covered, it really makes no difference what material you've used 
and rebar is CHEAP!!  at least compared to pre-formed arches that I 
see for sale.  Anyway, I want to try it  myself....
