I would like to second Sean's recomendation of this Botanical
Garden. That fishtail palm is a treasure.
They have hired a great greenhouse manager, Tora Rocha. She has
taken over the restoration of the bromeliad collection in the greenhouse.
When she got there, nothing had been done for years. And in their usual
fashion thay had begun to take over everything, even the walkways. I spent
a couple days at one time or another in trying to help her sort out the
stuff and in getting the lost labels back on the plants. I think you will
be quite impressed with it now. I know bromeliads are not your bag like
they are mine, but this collection warrants at least minimal attention
because THEY ARE PLANTS, AND WE LIKE PLANTS!!! --Chas--
