Barbara,
I haven't grown "Bloomfield Dainty" but have been told that the hybrid
musks do do well in some shade. I have Sally Holmes and Cornelia and both
are doing well with little sun.
Vintage Gardens, Sebastopol, www.vintagegardens.com in their catalogue
rates "Bloomfield Dainty" on a scale of 1 to 4 {4 being best} as a 3 for
repeat and a 2 for fragrance.
