Re: Off topic - hunting in Greece

My husband's father was an archeologist, and my husband and his family
accompanied him when he went to what, in the 1930s, was called
'Palestine'. My husband remembers one day when migrating storks on their
way south to Africa covered the sky so that it was blackened for several
hours.
I've read that small bird migrations also had that effect.
Of course, habitat reduction has reduced great numbers of bird species,
but hunting during migration has contributed to the toll.
