Re:Felco vs. Corona

Corona bought out Felco some years ago but the manufacturing has stayed the
same. Felco #2 is Corona # 82... Both numbers are stamped on the pruners
these
days. I prefer felco hand pruners over corona,
but I really like Coronas "professional" line of grass shears and
loppers.They
make a small lopper  ("vine lopper") which is great for many of the things I
used to use hand pruners for before I developed chronic tendonitis. The
Felco #6

hand pruner which is lighter and smaller than the #2 has been a big help on
the
tendonitis front too.

 I heavily used the same pair of #2 pruners for 20 years (I never loan them
out,
I keep them in my hand or on my belt when I'm at work, and I have a place to
lock up my tools). The blades are replaceable so that when you have
sharpened
them down so far that 
they are no longer working properly you can replace the blade rather than
the
whole tool.
