Calif: upcoming event, a resource guide

Just thought I'd remind California residents that the Gardening Under Mediterranean Skies symposia will be taking place on October 1-3 in Los Angeles and 8-10 in San Francisco. There is still time to register for this interesting event! Only taking place every other year, these days of talks, workshops, panel discussions, and garden tours have been very well received in the past. The featured international speaker this year is none other than "our own" Trevor Nottle from South Australia! For more information and a registration form, see http://www.pacifichorticulture.org/medskies/

Also, the Northern California Branch of the Mediterranean Garden Society has put together a No. California Resource Guide. The Branch has been working on this 70 page booklet for the past year, and it includes the best places to purchase plants and garden accessories, recommended books and articles, places to take classes and virtually everything else that gardeners in our part of the state might need to know. To order your copy, please send a donation of $10.00 to cover postage & handling to:
The Mediterranean Garden Society
Northern California Branch
P.O.Box 542 MP, Lafayette, CA 94549

If you have questions about either of the above, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Regards,
Seán O.
