Freesia and Monbretia seeds

Hi.

I have some seeds - freesia and monbretia - that I collected early in the summer of 2005. Is this the right time to plant them? I live in Malta - it's still hot here and will not really be cool before November (I suppose this would be a zone 10?)- but we've just had the first proper rains of the season. So its possible that seeds that have been left to their own devices will start to germinate around this time.

All hints, suggestions welcome.
