Warning!

There are 36 different grevilleas in my garden; all are doing well. I have been to Oz seven times, and have seen just about every grevillea, even the endangered ones, and love every one except ROBUSTA.
Why? Some people are terribly allergic to them. I wrote an article years ago for PACIFIC HORTICULTURE on the subject of using these marvelous plants in the garden. I only mentioned ROBUSTA in passing as I have never grown it.
But a reader had gone to the hospital for five days after trimming his 10 ft tree. Welts all over the top part of his body. He gave me hell for not warning people. And I have talked to those in Oz who wouldn't grow it either.
The blossoms are terrific, alas.  bill grant Monterey Bay
