Re: maps of Mediterranean climatic areas


Hi Moira,
As to El Nino...this morning's paper gave ocean temperatures along the
coast of California at the present time. They are, surface temp. from
Monterey to the Farallone Islands (ca. 20 miles outside the Golden Gate of
San Francisco) Current: 66-68oF, 
               Normal:  58-60oF
and off San Diego,
               Current: 70-74oF
               Normal:  62-64oF
Tropical and subtropical fish are also being found along the coasts,
indicating the effects of the water temperatures. 
Guess we will have El Nino influences here this winter.
