One more suggestion, I forgot to include in my previous post.  Don't limit
your pergola to climbers -- I have a new pergola as well and as soon as the
climbers are established, I'm moving my hanging epiphyllum to the pergola.
No better way to enjoy them than to have them hanging where you have a seat!
