I'm looking forward, greatly, to removing a large (20-foot tall) Photina
from in front of a house I just bought. No offence to any fans out there,
but I consider it one of the world's ugliest plants :-). My concern is,
how much of the root mass do I need to dig up to be rid of it? I'd hate to
have little sons-of-Photina sprouting up everywhere in the beautiful garden
I plan to put in, but I imagine its root system must be huge and impossible
to eradicate completely. Do I need herbicide? I hate to use such a thing,
but desperate times...
