Yes it is by far the commonest Musa grown here as well proving hardy
almost throughout the country, but Kurt gave the impression he was
trying to find out about culinary varieties and not those grown purely
for ornament.

Several in fact, although it appears that most are sectional chimaeras
indicating that they can only be successfully propped by conventional
division since even meristem propagation does not guarantee variegated
plants.  I have seed of a variety very similar to 'zebrina' that is
apparently true from seed, grows more vigorously and is considerably
more hardy, tolerating light frosts well.  I look forward to being
able to test this out next year.
