For those in the East Bay, Whole Foods in Berkeley has a wonderful selection
of organically grown produce, not to mention a huge selection of just about
every other kind of "health" food you can imagine (and some not-so-healthy
ones, too, just to keep things interesting).

<We are lucky in one of our local supermarket chains - they buy as much
local produce as they can get, and the amount of organic produce sold is
increasing all the time. Currently about one third of the produce area in
our neighbourhood supermarket is for organic fruits and vegetables, and the
price is reasonable now that volume has increased.
If everyone who wants organic food asks questions of the produce manager
every time they shop, the message will get through.>
