Dear Nan & List, 9/24/99
I have been using my long parking strip, 126' x 4' that faces
NW as a blueberry farm for 15 years. Many of the earliest plants
no longer bear readable signs but here follows a list of mosts
high-bush blueberries I grow in zone 16/17. We are governed by
SF weather 85 % of the time and inland heat 15 %. It never has
reached 100F and the low during the 1990 freeze was 19F.
My entire garden gets overhead water, mostly from dawn to 10 AM.
The woodland and blueberry walk are watered 4 days a week, twice
each day for about 7 minutes. The drought slope is watered on
June 1, July 1, and August 1 for 6 hours each time.
