Hello Barbara
We too love the Salvia genus. S. confertifolia, S. cacalifolia, S.
guranitica all flop and lollop. If you get the opportunity to grow S. Coral
Nymph do try it. although it is perennial, here it behaves as a self sowing
annual. It is very tolerant of dry conditions , but does not seem to mind
our wet winters. the two tone pink and white recognisably Salvia flowers are
delicate, but not insignificant. AND it always stands up of its own accord.

We can buy here a product called 'Link Stakes' which if placed early enough
in the year will give some support to the taller Salvias. Each autumn when
their spires go higher and higher and flop down over their neighbours I
think we will have to out them, but then they flower and I know that I must
find a way to control them. It would be a dull winter garden without them.
