Salvia Seeds

Lorraine - Christine Yeo, the National Collection holder for salvias,
sells seeds as well as plants and since her seed comes from her own
plants in Devon they might perhaps produce plants more adapted to
European conditions than seed collected in the wild (though that is
sometimes available, from people like John Watson). Christine's
address is: Pleasant View Nursery, Two Mile Oak, Nr Denbury, Newton
Abbot, Devon. Just ask her for her seed-list. An IRC would be a good
idea. She also, by the way, self-publishes two pamphlets on salvias
which are a useful supplement to Betsy Clebsch's book, containing more
spp, particularly non-American ones. Christine's pamphlets aren't not
chatty - severely informative would be the phrase - but on the other
hand they only cost around £5 so if not as pretty as the new UK BOOK
on salvias are at least a lot cheaper!
