Re: Oxalis Trouble

Don mentions Buckler Sorrel, that's Rumex scutatus which I grow in my herb
garden, and it's low and spreading. As you say, makes excellent soup. The
broad-leaf kind, R. acetosa, is ready to pick right now in early spring,
fresh green leaves, growing in upright clumps alongside primroses, slightly
acidic soil, as is the flavour. Hardy herb. perennials. A handful chopped
in omelette is good. Or salad. But a little of either sort goes a long way.
Both hardy herb. perennials. The Oxalis sorrels aren't the edible herb.
