Lacewings

I recently read of an adult lacewing, described as a "voracious consumer of
garden pests, most notably of aphids".  As aphids are a recurring problem
in my garden I would like to have a lacewing come live with my flowers.
Have any of you had any experience with these insects?  Do they really like
aphids?  Any ideas where I could get one?
