Please don't think I was trying to be critical, John.  I've always 
loved the appearance of Acanthus and was pleased when I was finally 
able to purchase one (as A. hungaricus) that bloomed for me (and 
promises to be even better this year) this far north (Milwaukee, Zone 
5).  I was only curious if there was yet another species that might 
be hardy for me.
