Barb,
Have you been to Chanticleer? It's in a suburb of Philadelphia. The
chief horticulturist there is Christopher Woods, who wrote my favorite
gardening book, Encyclopedia of Perennials. I keep meaning to see
Chanticleer but I don't live in Philadelphia now.
