Re : pond list/Chicago gardens

Title: Re : pond list/Chicago gardens
Oonna,
Thank you, anyway for your answer.
I would like to ask again something to the group, because I plan to come with my husband to Chicago early may and would like to visit the botanical garden. As we're only staying 72 hours I must do a selection of the gardens and nurseries to visit in the area. Of course, we'll rent a car for this purpose.
Can anyone give me an advice about this?

Ermenonville, France, zone 7/8
No weather change here in Paris area, I'll work in the garden with my raincot on, as usual

"I want to get on a pond list for advice regarding experiences like this and
other stuff...is anyo! ne! on this list on a good ponders list? Please
let me know."
Me too, Lynn, I would like some info about ponds. Perhaps Donna who was
talking about fishes in a message can answer us.

Sorry, I really don't know of an over all good pond list. There is rec ponds where you can post a question and get different replies. The International Water Lily Society also has a nice informative group, but only on that subject. There is also Indypond, Grdpond, puregold, goldfish, but each is for a region or a specific theme. There are also many web sites with great info, and most have some type of help e-mail.
IMO, every pond is different, and what works in one does not always in another. Look for a local pond club. They will give you the best advice for your region.
If you are having a problem, feel free to write me privately and maybe I can help. dfish@famvid.com

Enjoy the spring weather!
Donna
