Chris,
Kids pick flowers everywhere, I did when I was a child and I am a
grandmother. Some take them home to Mom as a present and the Mom has no idea
how important the garden is to you. If you can identify the child and tell
his Mom that your garden is pretty important to you. she may help .
Some just pick them and carry them around for a while, it does not seem like
a great crime but it makes the gardener crazy.
The solution is that whoever is picking your flowers will grow up to the next
stage of life and the flower picking will be over. Youngsters who are
rambunctious in the neighborhood eventually learn how to drive a car and you
never see them again.
Keeping tongue in cheek I should say that I live on a small farm and one of
the specifications to the agent looking for us was that there be no other
houses in our view. We had lived in many, many locations and decided that
would be peace.
