Re: hellebores setting seed

One good way to tell when you can have plant sex is to look at the male and 
the female parts.

The male parts will have fresh looking pollen that will come off easily, the 
female part will look fresh and slightly moist.

Since hellebores flowers are open for so many days I would just try the cross 
each day.
