Hello Marge,
Perhaps I need to send you some of my Phlox divaricata are in bud now
and will be in bloom by this coming week. Of course hellebore x hybridus has
been in bloom since February late. Some of the white blooming phlox would go
well with the primula veris as well... the phlox divaricata has a blue cast
to the foliage making a nice background for the white blooms and the that in
turn would go well with the crinkly crisp green of the primula foliage with
yellow blooms.
Have to think about the carex... have several out here to play with that
are variegated and evergreen. Was saving mine to go with the foliage of
Pulmonaria to brighten up a raised bed area.. perhaps with some of the new
ferns such as "Ghost". All I have to do is find the time of do some planting
this spring.
