Re: Help identifying hellebores?/ companion plants


Perhaps you do:-)  Mine doesn't bloom until May!

Any of the Carex that do not demand really moist soil and have
variegated foliage should be interesting...at least to my mind. 
While finding something that blooms with the Hellebores is marvelous,
what I am really looking for is something that will set off the dark
flowered forms so they don't die - color-wise - into the mulch, if
you see what I mean.

Yes..planting time!  I have so much clean up to do, the garden is
simply screaming at me, but spent this weekend and this evening in
the "simple" task of planting out 5 baby Magnolia grandiflora I grew
from seed.  99% of the time has been spent in clearing the area of
weedy material and digging  up countless clumps of wild garlic, but
they are now in the ground and once I haul some mulch up there, I can
get back to spring clean up...then I get to plant:-)
